From Cottage to Character: Two New Builds in the Heart of Sunningdale.
Project Overview
In the prestigious village of Sunningdale, Crestwood Design and Build Ltd was commissioned to demolish an ageing cottage and deliver two elegant, Victorian-style townhouses in its place. The goal: to create homes that blend the timeless charm of period architecture with the functionality and standards of modern living.
The Brief
Located in a prime residential area, the site required careful planning and sympathetic design to complement the local aesthetic. Our clients wanted two distinctive homes with characterful façades, well-proportioned interiors, and beautifully designed outdoor spaces — all while maximising the potential of the plot.
The Approach
We began with the full demolition of the existing cottage, followed by groundworks and construction of two new build homes designed in classic Victorian architectural style. Our scope included:

Traditional brickwork and decorative detailing in keeping with period architecture

Sash-style windows, stone lintels, and ornate front entrances

Spacious, light-filled interiors with a blend of traditional layout and modern finishes

Premium specifications throughout, including hand made kitchens, designer bathroom, bespoke joinery, underfloor heating, and energy-efficient systems

Landscaped front and rear gardens, including porcelain pathways, outbuildings and mature planting schemes for privacy and curb appeal
